The QC Underwriter and Auditor is responsible for conducting Quality Control Audits in compliance with agency guidelines and MSF’s Quality Control Plan. Additionally, this role provides support for other auditors by answering questions and offering training as needed. The QC Underwriter and Auditor ensures a high standard of credible and reliable customer service for both internal and external stakeholders, with a strong focus on loan review quality and compliance.

The QC Underwriter and Auditor ensures a high standard of credible and reliable customer service for both internal and external stakeholders, with a strong focus on loan review quality and compliance.
Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:
- Perform QC Pre-Funding and Post Closing audits on residential mortgage loan files.
- Identify issues that may result in the ineligibility of a loan with investors or the inability to sell a loan on the secondary market.
- Perform reverifications for post-closing audits, documenting the process and responses in MSF’s Quality Control software.
- Communicate effectively and timely with operations staff to address any outstanding, or unresolved issues and escalate critical concerns to Quality Control Management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the audit process from beginning to end in the Quality Control software utilized by MSF.
- Manage time efficiently and prioritize workloads to meet strict deadlines while handling multiple tasks.
- Must stay current on all agency, state, and federal guidelines, and participate in on-going training as the mortgage industry evolves.

- Perform other duties or projects, as assigned.
