Summary
Mortenson is currently seeking a carpenter that will be responsible for the construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principals.
Responsibilities
- Set up trailers
- Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and measure dimensions
- Build decks, stairs, roofs, temporary structures, install shelves, set up tool trailers/conex’s, silt fences/straw bales, and site per erosion control plan
- Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms
- Assist journeyman and foreman with shooting grades and elevations
- Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials
- Concrete and rough carpentry: hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, drywall, finish carpentry (doors, frames, hardware), millwork, cabinetry
- Work effectively and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Maintain accuracy and precision
- Communicate effectively in English
- Strong teamwork and positive attitude
- Detail-oriented with active listening skills
- Professional customer service and openness to feedback
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
- *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
