As a one‑person marketing department, you will own a broad range of responsibilities, from managing multiple RFPs and pursuits to producing website content, social media, and client presentations to win projects and build our brand nationwide.
This role supports development efforts across most industries, including healthcare, hospitality, industrial, student housing, and data center projects, with active work in high-growth and competitive markets such as Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, Nashville, Portland, Phoenix, Seattle and other strategic geographies.

Responsibilities
- Pursuit Support
- Responsible for the creation of complex business proposals including differentiated communication approaches, such as infographics to provide a competitive advantage for winning new business
- Create and coordinate final proposal content and production schedule, requiring high-velocity collaboration with multiple leaders and teams, producing final deliverables on time with a high degree of accuracy and quality
- Brand Awareness and Content Creation
- Help translate complex development and investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives for a variety of audiences to build our brand as developers
- Learn our customers and their industries to ensure all work product reflects the customer’s language and resonates with the target audience
- Responsible for social media and website presence through content planning, writing, analysis, and reporting performance to inform future efforts
- Be the guardian of brand voice and style, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint and leverage company best practices, templates, tools and other support available
- Marketing Management
- Build the marketing strategy and implementation plan, collaborating with group leadership for budgets, timelines; accountable for executing plan, measuring results and making adjustments throughout the year
- Manage marketing budget, analysis, and ROI reporting to identify highest return to achieve business objectives
- Conferences, Events and Awards
- Collaborate with team to analyze effectiveness of investments and improve decision-making and budget allocation
- Capture and manage a full calendar of events, conferences and awards, focused on building brand with specific target audiences
- Identify and submit awards applications to recognize project achievements in the market
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 7 years of progressive marketing experience, including experience at the Manager level
- Experience supporting complex, relationship-driven businesses such as real estate development or professional services
- Proficiency in content creation for business-to-business (B2B) audiences
- Strong ability to create PowerPoint messages and visuals; sharp visual organization of information to quickly convey core messages, including graphics inside of PPT
- Capability in leveraging AI to support efficient work, following company guidelines and brand standards
- Strong design and content creation skills (InDesign or equivalent tools)
- Competency in translating complex development data into storytelling to quantify value to our customer
- Knowledge of social media and web content best practices (SEO/AEO/GEO)
- Agility to operate on a fast-paced team; adept at organizing, tracking and delivering multiple assignments and deadlines at once
- Ability to identify key drivers and decision points shaping the customer’s mindset; develop accurate and cohesive narratives
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Willingness to travel periodically to support projects, events, and conferences
- Ability to travel – approximately 15%
