Flight Test Instrumentation Technician


Location: Hollister, CA (on site)

Duration: 12 months

Rate: Hourly W2 rate on offer


As a Flight Test Instrumentation Technician, you will ensure that the flight test instrumentation on the aircraft is installed per engineering drawings, tested, maintained and operational. You will be part of the flight test instrumentation team that designs, installs and maintains the instrumentation of the flight test vehicle.


Responsibilities

  • As part of the flight test instrumentation organization and deployed at the Final line and flight testing facility you will act as a flight test instrumentation technician for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.
  • You will take part in manufacturing and installation of aircraft instrumentation across the aircraft (wiring, mechanical install etc.).
  • You will support the integration, maintenance, operation, modification, and repair of the instrumentation on aircraft.
  • You will help support the fabrication and maintenance of the data acquisition systems.


Proven Ability / Key Skills

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in the aviation industry.
  • Worked on aircraft, preferably in electrical wiring or instrumentation.
  • Strong and applied knowledge of complex assembly and installation processes, such as build record documentation, quality systems, and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Familiar with functional testing and non-conformity processes.
  • Work well independently and in teams.
  • Fluent with mechanical and electrical assembly procedures.
