What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Americas Tender Management position at Morrison Express?
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 2-3 regional team members and manage all tender-related activities.
- Governance the tender process from pre-bid preparation, tender handling, and post-tender analysis.
- Managed the assigned tenders by working directly with key stakeholders including but not limited to commercial owners, station pricing team, network partners, and P&L owners.
- Responsible for bid/RFQ qualification review with commercial owner to identify the business potential of each bid.
- Perform conversion between client’s bid template into internal pricing sheet.
- Collect rates and service information from the station/country pricing team and network partners.
- Perform sanity check on the quality of submission from station pricing team/network partner in terms of rate competitiveness, service level, rate response to client’s feedback.
- Submit tender/RFQ via client-appointed platforms/formats in a timely manner.
- Communicate tender results and perform analysis to all relevant stakeholder whenever is needed.
- Identify opportunity and strategy in conjunction with stakeholders (bid owner, product management, sales management, and foreign peers).
- Work in collaboration with the data management / project management team to ensure a complete and competitive customer response.
- Work closely with business leaders in establishing pricing strategies and priorities.
- Responsible for the RFQ quality check and conducts the review with the respective business partners.
- Work in conjunction with all sales globally to assist in gathering effective post mortem feedback.
- Creates and presents reports to the business teams (GMs, BD, and Product) outlining tender results, ICAP preparation, post mortem and price analytics and other required information.
- Ensure business decisions are made according to existing business controls and that all regulatory requirements are met and followed.
- Propose, design and support the optimization of bid processes and price guidelines.
- Ensure that set margins are followed and that pricing activities requiring Product and Senior Management approval (regional and/or global) are properly coordinated within the organization.
- Keep abreast of emerging market changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and possible participation in professional organizations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Shipping or Logistics Management, or equivalent disciplines is highly preferred.
- At least 8 years’ experience in a sizeable international freight forwarder, primarily looking for talents who have solid experience in regional tender management, experience in airfreight / ocean freight operation, customer service, sales support would be a plus.
- Advanced excel skills with strong analytical mindset.
- Good command of English in both written and oral.
- Detail-oriented with strong business acumen would be an advantage.
- Presentation and cross-functional communication skills.
- Analytical and business process driven.
- Ability to integrate pricing tactics and drive process improvements.
- Able to work in a matrix organization and in an international environment.

Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
