What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air Export Supervisor position at Morrison Express?
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing and organizing the team workloads to meet MEC KPI goals.
- Key communicator with the customers and vendors
- Confirm shipment profitability and escalate any loss and low profit files.
- Managing CNS Report
- Submitting RFQ to gain new business or to maintain current business
- Supervising Air Export Team and POC for escalations
- Quality control checks on making sure all export documentation is correct, Including Customs filing and TSA verification
- Monitoring Vendors Performance
- Working and Training Air Export team so that they can achieve their performance goals.
- Review Dangerous Goods shipments in order to make sure we are compliant with Airlines restrictions
- Supporting department in reducing cost for more profitability
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university: or a combination of an A.A. degree of similar emphasis, combined with an increased amount of industry/company experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in key phases of the freight-forwarding industry, focus in Air Export, with half of that total in a functional group supervisory role.
- Knowledge of carrier contracts and tariffs and federal and state government carrier regulations.
- Knowledge of export licenses and Carnet procedures.
- Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
- Experience in Sales is a plus.
- Proven ability to suggest and implement corrective actions in case of issues that may arise.
