Air Export Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prioritizing and organizing the team workloads to meet MEC KPI goals.
• Key communicator with the customers and vendors
• Confirm shipment profitability and escalate any loss and low profit files.
• Managing CNS Report
• Submitting RFQ to gain new business or to maintain current business
• Supervising Air Export Team and POC for escalations
• Quality control checks on making sure all export documentation is correct, Including Customs filing and TSA verification
• Monitoring Vendors Performance
• Working and Training Air Export team so that they can achieve their performance goals.
• Review Dangerous Goods shipments in order to make sure we are compliant with Airlines restrictions
• Supporting department in reducing cost for more profitability
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university: or a combination of an A.A. degree of similar emphasis, combined with an increased amount of industry/company experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in key phases of the freight-forwarding industry, focus in Air Export, with half of that total in a functional group supervisory role.
• Knowledge of carrier contracts and tariffs and federal and state government carrier regulations.
• Knowledge of export licenses and Carnet procedures.
• Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
• Experience in Sales is a plus.
• Proven ability to suggest and implement corrective actions in case of issues that may arise.
