Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field and office survey operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Supervise project managers and staff in project planning, scheduling, proposal development, cost estimating, and execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, stakeholders, and external agencies.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, and resources to meet project and operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality assurance/quality control requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training and mentorship, and support employee development.
- Review and approve survey deliverables, reports, maps, legal descriptions, and professional service proposals.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and assist in resolving technical and operational challenges.
- Establish operational goals, improve procedures, and promote a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
- Travel to project sites, client meetings, and field locations as required.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 10 years of surveying experience in both field and office environments.
- Strong project management, leadership, and team supervision experience.
- Proven knowledge of survey operations, pipeline construction, mapping, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with survey equipment and software, including Trimble and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of state land survey requirements, boundary surveying, topographic surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing project demands, and work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
