Your Role
As a Purchasing Coordinator, you’ll
- Research the best place to buy parts needed based on price, availability, and fastest estimated time of arrival. Each trade has their own go-to vendors, but you may have to search for a new one to get the part we need to take care of a customer quickly!
- Communicate with vendors daily. You’ll work with them frequently so everyone involved has the updated ETA for any parts we need.
- Communicate with our warehouse coordinators. Our warehouse team receives all the parts you order, and you’ll be in touch with them to make sure what we ordered matches what we received. You’ll also check that our system inventory counts match what we actually have on our warehouse shelves. That’s why your communication skills are EXTRA important for this job!
- Partner with our accounting team on purchase orders and invoices. When we get an invoice from a vendor, you’ll make sure our purchase orders match it (and help fix things with the right information when things don’t look right).
- Your shift will be 830am-500pm, Monday-Friday with some rotating Saturdays during business needs (seasonal)
- You’ll make up to $50,000
- Morris-Jenkins has been voted Top Workplace USA and Top Workplace Charlotte time and time again! Check out our awards here Working at Morris-Jenkins Heating, Air, Plumbing, and Electrical | Top Workplaces
- You’re adaptable and level-headed. You’re the kind of person who moves quickly and doesn’t mind a change of plans. To you, it’s exciting!
- You enjoy supporting people but know when to ask for help yourself. When you get overwhelmed or stressed, you’re comfortable working with your team to get things done. Your role here is super important, and you’ll be helping a large organization (and, in turn, helping tons of customers with their homes!). You prefer the vibe of a small and close-knit team, and together, you’ll make a big difference!
- You love to shop for a bargain! When you save money and find a great deal, you feel a huge sense of satisfaction. After all, this is one of your talents!
- Crossing things off a list and tackling new challenges are both things that energize you. You’re good at keeping track of multiple things while you work, and you love prioritizing.
