What are the responsibilities and job description for the 160 - Business Associate I position at MORRIS HEIGHTS HEALTH CENTER INC?
The Business Associate Level I is a multi-functional position and is a key member of the health team. This position is responsible for center operational activities, such as registration, the accurate capture patient demographic and financial information, insurance verification, maintaining appointment schedules, collecting co-payments and answering telephones. Major scope of responsibilities will depend on needs of health center.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in related field preferred.
- At least two years work experience, preferably in health care or position dealing with the public.
- Excellent customer communication skills are required for this position.
- Individual must demonstrate proficiency with communicating on the telephone and must meet MHHC customer service expectations and the overall Service Excellence standards in all facets of the job.
- Individual must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- English, Spanish (Bilingual) preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Basic computer skills, including use of a keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
