Job Goals And Summary
The Allied and Health Care Services Coordinator is a 12-month teaching position responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction in health sciences while coordinating and expanding work-based learning and dual credit opportunities for students across the district. This role bridges academic instruction with real-world experience by developing partnerships with healthcare providers and institutions of higher education, supervising internships, and ensuring alignment with industry standards. The position serves as a liaison between the district, sending districts, healthcare partners, and colleges/universities to strengthen career pathways. The role also includes collaboration with fellow educators to enhance instructional practices and meet the needs of diverse learners pursuing careers in healthcare. This position is part of the teachers' collective bargaining unit and includes both instructional and extended-year responsibilities.
Qualifications
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $78,546 - $126,000. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, sick, personal, bereavement, and family illness days.

Qualifications
- Valid teaching certification in Health Sciences, Career and Technical Education, endorsement code #4200 (General Health Sciences) required.
- Preferred Master's Degree in Health Science or related field
- Preferred: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Preferred: Minimum of five (5) years prior teaching experience in a secondary setting
- Preferred: Postsecondary Adjunct experience
- Experience with health career pathway development strongly preferred and experience with work-based learning and dual enrollment/dual credit programs
- Strong communication, organizational, and partnership-building skills.
- Knowledge of instructional best practices for diverse learners and current healthcare industry standards, certifications, compliance requirements, and workforce trends.
