What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardio Pulmonary Clinic Assistant position at Morrill County Community Hospital?
The candidate shall register patients for medical appointments in the Cardio Pulmonary Clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Greets and directs Cardio Pulmonary clinic patients and visitors.
- Generates a list of scheduled appointments for Cardio Pulmonary clinic each day.
- Pulls Cardio Pulmonary clinic patient charts prior to or upon arrival of patient for appointment.
- Verifies Cardio Pulmonary clinic patient's appointment and time upon registration.
- Conducts reminder calls to all Cardio Pulmonary clinic patients.
- Verifies Cardio Pulmonary clinic patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart.
- Obtains dictation from visiting doctors and send copies to referring or family provider.
- Generates personalized service form for registered patients in order to document services provided and procedures performed at visit.
- Schedule call back to Cardio Pulmonary clinic patients.
- Assists with other medical office needs, including scheduling, telephone inquiries, and cashier.
- Assist in Prior Authorizations procedures.
- Assist with completion of data entry of charges in a timely manner.
- Verify patient type, financial class, and insurance company to ensure accurate billing.
- Respond to patient billing and statement inquiries.
