Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant gas station/convenience-store experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise employees and coordinate daily store operations.
- Ability to handle cash, sales transactions, deposits, inventory, and basic store records.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, opening, and closing shifts as required.
- Ability to maintain a professional and safe working environment.
- Ability to follow company policies and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
Managerial Responsibilities
1. Store Operations Management
- Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor POS operations, cash handling, refunds, discounts, and register balancing.
- Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
2. Team Leadership & Staff Supervision
- Lead, motivate, and supervise all store employees.
- Conduct employee orientation and on-the-job training for new staff.
- Assign duties, monitor performance, and provide regular coaching and feedback.
3. Scheduling & Attendance Management
- Prepare and maintain staff work schedules.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and leave records.
- Address attendance issues and coordinate payroll-related information.
4. Inventory & Stock Management
- Oversee receiving, verification, and stocking of inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and stock reconciliation.
- Monitor product expiration dates and implement markdowns where necessary.
- Coordinate product ordering with approved vendors and suppliers.
5. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers.
- Place and track purchase orders.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
6. Sales & Financial Control
- Monitor daily sales performance and analyze sales reports.
- Ensure accurate cash management and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability.
7. Customer Service Excellence
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Promote customer loyalty programs and encourage customer feedback.
8. Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
9. Loss Prevention & Security
- Monitor store security through CCTV and regular inspections.
- Investigate and report theft, shrinkage, or security incidents.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize inventory losses.
10. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Maintain accurate records for sales, inventory, attendance, and incidents.
- Submit required reports to senior management in a timely manner.
11. Performance Management
- Evaluate employee performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Identify training needs and implement continuous staff development.
- Support succession planning and employee growth initiatives.
12. Company Policy Compliance
- Enforce the company's Code of Conduct, attendance policy, dress code, and operational policies.
- Ensure all employees follow company standards and procedures consistently.
13. Technology & Systems Management
- Ensure proper utilization of POS, Modi soft, App Sheet, and other company systems.
- Maintain system accuracy and coordinate with support teams when technical issues arise.
14. Continuous Improvement
- Analyse operational performance and customer feedback.
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Participate in regular management meetings and implement approved action plans.
15. Operational Accountability
- Take full responsibility for overall store performance, staff productivity, customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the store consistently achieves operational and financial objectives established by management.
