🧠 Role Overview:

We have a vacancy for a Senior PeopleSoft Upgrade Specialist. The objective of this initiative is to support the implementation of required payroll system changes within a PeopleSoft environment resulting from newly enacted federal legislation.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Execute required legislative update scripts, perform system configuration changes, and create/retrofit existing payroll-related code, web services, interfaces, and reports within active and retiree environments to support mandated changes.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and configuration of PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, and associated middleware infrastructure to support payroll processing, pay rule adjustments, overtime calculations, tax updates, and related reporting changes.
• Support infrastructure for critical enterprise applications and payroll components.
• Work closely with technical leads and project teams to coordinate configuration changes, manage migrations across environments, and ensure timely completion of implementation activities while balancing ongoing payroll operations.

✅ Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience working with multiple versions of PeopleSoft and PeopleTools across HCM modules.
• Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) performing multiple PeopleSoft/PeopleTools upgrades and patch installations using:
• Change Assistant
• PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
• Strong experience with:
• PeopleSoft HCM (v9.2 with PUM 39 and Fluid UI)
• PeopleTools (v8.59 )
• Experience with middleware and tools such as:
• Oracle WebLogic
• PeopleSoft App Designer
• Oracle SQL
• Experience understanding system customizations and assessing impact on project timelines.
• Hands-on experience in:
• PeopleSoft security (design, implementation, maintenance)
• Identity & access management
• Strong technical expertise in:
• Server virtualization
• PeopleSoft debugging and performance tuning
• Oracle RAC architecture integration
• Strong experience working with:
• UNIX (AIX preferred)
• SQL and scripting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

⭐ Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale enterprise implementations
• Experience working in matrix environments
• Certification in PeopleSoft Upgrade Administration
• Experience with Change Assistant (CA Tool) & PUM
• Experience with Shell scripting and SQL
• Prior experience with large government payroll systems (preferred)

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical/business field
