Job Summary:
Seeking a certified Project Management Professional with extensive construction
Project Manager construction management experience to help monitor contract performance related to construction and compliance activities, schedule alignment and potential risks for a portfolio of Tier 1 projects.
Remote, however the resource will be required to travel to various utility scale renewable project locations throughout New York State
Remote - preference to be located in the Western and or Central NY region
Contractor must have computer, cell phone, access to reliable high-speed internet, and personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, safety boots)

Has well developed understanding of relevant technical principles and their application to a program area. Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area. Has acknowledged expertise at conceptual level of technical skills and knowledge in at least one program area. Has basic understanding of State energy/environmental economic development issues.
Creativity in Project & Program Development:
Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area.

Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. Demonstrates the capability to manage all aspects of on-going projects with no supervision. Is able to prioritize workload with other

Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?
\-Knowledge of the Tier 1 Program's Standard Form Agreement
-Ability to create schedules with dependencies and predecessors, and perform analysis on schedule shift. Demonstrated experience developing KPIs for construction projects, monitoring and reporting on risk and proposing mitigation. Ability to develop schedule forecasts. -Familiarity with NYS Article VIII Environmental Management and Construction Plan processes, and ability to navigate Department of Public Service's Document and Matter Management System.
Education, Certifications, Degree requirements:
Certified PMP, preferred
B.S 10 years of construction experience, or MS 3-7 years of construction experience, mandatory OSHA 10-Hour construction safety training- minimum level, mandatory
Desired: OSHA 30 construction training

Tasks:
Lead monitoring and reporting of construction progress, attend multi-agency meetings and analyze submitted reports
-Organize and lead site visits in the field for assigned projects
-Lead the proactive identification, and reporting on project and schedule risk along with mitigation activities as needed
-Perform contract compliance monitoring and maintain tracking tools, escalating issues as needed
-Maintain construction reports and documentation on SharePoint
-Participate in internal and external project meetings
-Develop appropriate project metrics and tracking mechanisms
-Generate charts, tables and tools as necessary to quickly convey project status to executives
-Serve of the primary point of contact with a select group of developers and stakeholders on behalf of the program and certain assigned projects -Assist with program event planning and development of materials for the media by cross-collaborating
-Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Large Scale Renewables team
