The Cocktail Server – Beverage is responsible for taking and delivering beverage orders to guests on the casino floor or in designated service areas. This position provides prompt, courteous, and professional service in accordance with 4-Star/4-Diamond service standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned sections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provides 4-Star/4-Diamond guest service by engaging with guests in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
- Busses and clears tables of used glassware and debris in assigned sections.
- Maintains cleanliness and stock levels of assigned cocktail service stations.
- Processes cash and credit transactions through the approved point-of-sale system.
- Works special events and high-volume service areas as assigned.
- Communicates effectively with bartenders and Beverage leadership to ensure service flow.
- Verifies guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and adheres to all ABC regulations, RBS training standards, and internal policies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with beverage service operations, including knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Knowledge of ABC regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-volume service areas.
- Must be professional, reliable, and guest-focused.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Additional coursework in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-volume or upscale environment.
- Strong knowledge of beverage offerings and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Proven ability to deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service in fast-paced settings.
- Experience handling cash and operating POS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Prior experience in a casino, resort, or hospitality venue is preferred.
- Must meet all regulatory requirements for alcohol service.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

- Working Conditions: Routinely works in high-volume, fast-paced casino and lounge environments with exposure to loud noise, dim lighting, and crowded conditions. Regular exposure to a smoking environment while serving on the casino floor or in designated beverage areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
