The Assistant Server – Cielo supports the service team by providing prompt and attentive guest service in an upscale dining environment. This role is responsible for bussing tables, assisting with beverage and food service, resetting stations, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness in the dining area. The Assistant Server works closely with Servers to ensure a smooth and memorable dining experience for guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets guests warmly and assists with seating as needed.
- Assists Servers with taking and delivering food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Follows proper serving techniques and ensures guest satisfaction through attentive support.
- Busses tables promptly and resets for incoming guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Serves drinks and meals in coordination with the Server to ensure timely service.
- Maintains a well-stocked workstation with necessary items including glassware, silverware, and condiments.
- Provides responsible alcohol service in accordance with TIPS training and property policy.
- Supports Server team in a variety of tasks during peak service times.
- Ensures compliance with all sanitation and food safety standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a food and beverage support role such as busser, runner, or assistant server.
- Knowledge of food service procedures, table maintenance, and guest interaction standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fine dining environment while supporting servers and ensuring timely service.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in an upscale restaurant, resort, or casino dining venue is preferred.
- Must meet all health and safety regulations and food handler requirements.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
