The Apprentice Bartender – Beverage CM supports bartenders by maintaining bar supplies, cleanliness, and organization to ensure efficient beverage operations. This position ensures that bar stations are properly supplied and organized while delivering 4-Diamond guest service in a high-volume, fast-paced casino environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stocks bar supplies including glassware, beverages, garnishes, mixers, and utensils.
- Fills ice bins, washes and dries glassware, and prepares fruit garnishes for cocktails.
- Changes beer kegs and maintains clean and orderly storage areas.
- Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of bar stations and service areas throughout the shift.
- Ensures timely and accurate delivery of supplies to bartenders.
- Provides excellent guest service by supporting beverage operations efficiently and professionally.
- Follows safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service procedures.
- Verifies guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and adheres to all ABC regulations, RBS training standards, and internal policies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and transport beverage products including kegs, cases, and ice buckets.
- Must have a high regard for guest service and team collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Additional coursework in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a food and beverage, hospitality, or customer service role.
- Experience handling beverages, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas preferred.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Prior experience in a casino, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
