Laundry Supervisor

Morningstar Living is seeking a Full-Time Laundry Supervisor to lead daily operations of our Laundry Department at the Moravian Hall Square campus in Nazareth, PA. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized environment for our residents. This role is responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, scheduling, and supervising employees in these areas.

What will I do in the role of Laundry Coordinator?

• Demonstrate knowledge of all Department of Health and Department of Public Welfare regulations and the skill and ability to monitor compliance of these regulations
• Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to oversee all daily operations of the Laundry department; perform duties as necessary to ensure the completion of all daily operations. 
• Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to hire, orient and train, supervise and evaluate employees.
• Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to prepare employee schedules for the Laundry and Housekeeping department.
• Monitoring the safe use of all laundry equipment, products, and materials.
• Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to assist with drafting, writing or revision of policies and procedures of the Laundry operations.
• Weigh soiled and clean laundry and keep accurate record of weights.

What do I need in the role of Laundry Coordinator?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of laundry experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to supervise employees to ensure that proper procedures are followed, and quality control standards are met.

• Flexible availability, including occasional weekend hours
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to follow and give written and oral instructions.
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented

Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, lift up to 25 lbs., push/pull carts up to 60 lbs., and remain active for up to an 8-hour shift. Must be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning supplies and odors.
