Job Description
In coordination with the Regional Program Manager, the Business Developer is responsible for developing assessment and work opportunities for clients or students with disabilities in accordance with their career goals and interests; and/or support clients in the attainment of their established goals. Will source and secure appropriate jobs for Morningside clients by contacting businesses in their assigned geographic area.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers, community, and other stakeholders.
- Connect with and contact known and new potential employers, as needed, to locate jobs in occupations / area of client’s interests.
- Facilitate interview, and placement process for client success.
- Assist employers to combine, recombine, or carve tasks appropriate for referred client.
- Facilitate introductions between employers, clients, and Career Consultants.
- Assist clients with hiring paperwork process and preliminary onboarding process.
- Assist client with uniform support if needed.
- Attend DVR meetings as needed.
- Provide Job Development activities for Morningside clients with unique or highly customized employment requirements.
- Support Lead Business Developer in facilitating organizational marketing, business relationship development, and outreach for new and developed service lines.
- Attend various community (clubs, chamber, EDC etc.) meetings as needed to further advance organizations brand and awareness in communities, businesses, and organizations to include colleges, and universities.
- Complete paperwork and case notes in accordance with timely company standards, quality, and accuracy. Complete all case notes daily.
- Prepare bi-weekly outcome report on all efforts and deliver report in a weekly meeting to Regional Program Manager.
- Determine the methods (such as cold calling, networking, etc.) and frequency of outreach to current, prospective employers, clubs, and organizations.
Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements:
- A strong aptitude for the common activities of business relations, networking, branding, marketing, and sales including excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree or extensive knowledge and proven experience in related field of expertise preferred.
- Must pass Washington State and national background checks (background checks are on-going throughout employment).
- Must pass the LEIE screening, excluded individuals and entities (LEIE) checks are processed at time of hire, monthly, and annually.
Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in an office setting and/or a wide variety of business work settings and requires community mobility weekly.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.
- Lifting requirements will vary depending on site, not to exceed 50 pounds.
- Potential need to travel between branch offices as needed.

Compensation:
The full pay scale for this position is $28.49 - $38.29/hr.
Unless candidates possess prior experience in this field, the starting wage is $28.49/hr.
Merit increases are available annually when meeting and exceeding outcomes.
