PURPOSE & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Membership Manager position at AWB recruits new members for the association, in addition to retaining current members, while participating in special fund raising efforts, and other projects as assigned.
We're an advocacy organization, representing all manner and size of companies, and we're also the States' Chamber of Commerce for WA State, and the States' Manufacturing & Technology Association. Our membership stretches from the worlds largest employers like Boeing & Amazon, to the smallest and most innovative companies like Brinc Drones.
This position is responsible for new member recruitment, and communicating member & prospective member feedback to the Membership Director. AWB encourages and receives support from employers with both physical, and market presence in WA.
POSITION SCOPE:
New member recruitment is achieved through individualized professional sales presentations, performed either by phone or Zoom, with limited calling on prospects and members outside the office. The average number of contacts by successful membership managers is 45 per day, calling on new member prospects, as well as existing members. Extensive use of e-mail is also typical.
Basic computer skills are required, such as basic outlook & excel proficiency, and the ability to use advanced marketing and tracking programs such as LinkedIn & Apollo are a plus. Basic database and record keeping experience is also required.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
1. 2 years of proven sales experience is required

4. Must be able to laugh, and handle rejection
COMPENSATION:
Salary $50,000 Commission Bonuses. Commission & bonus range varies based on aptitude, but typical earnings are between $60,000 - $80,000.
OFFICE:
The membership dept. typically has a hybrid work week, with a minimum of three days in office, and two days remote. We are located in Olympia, WA.
