Group Facilitator (BHT)

Job Summary:

The Group Facilitator is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for residents within our Behavioral Health Residential Facility. This role is crucial in fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that promotes skill-building, personal growth, and recovery. The Group Facilitator will utilize evidence-based practices to address a variety of topics relevant to mental health, substance use, and daily living skills.

Duties:

- Implement behavior intervention plans and keep group counseling developed by SAMHSA

- Assist in the development of individualized treatment goals and objectives

- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors

- Support individuals in community settings to generalize skills learned in therapy sessions

- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of client progress

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with individuals with alcohol and/or drug use is highly desirable

- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients

- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans accurately and effectively

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
