Irrigation Store / Nursery Attendant

Position Summary:
Morning Dew Landscaping is seeking a reliable and motivated Irrigation Store / Nursery Attendant to oversee the daily operations of our irrigation supply store and plant nursery. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized. The Irrigation Store / Nursery Attendant will assist customers, maintain inventory, and help ensure the store and nursery operate efficiently.

This position is an hourly seasonal position from April 1 thru November 30. Hourly rate depends on experience. We offer medical, dental and vision insurance. We also offer a Simple RIA with 3% match after two years of employment.

Supplemental winter work may be available consisting of snow removal (depending on weather).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist irrigation customers with selecting irrigation products and parts.
• Manage and maintain parts inventory, including stocking, organizing, and tracking irrigation supplies.
• Water and maintain plants in the nursery to ensure proper health and presentation.
• Label plants and maintain accurate signage.
• Log and track nursery plant inventory, including receiving and organizing new plant deliveries.
• Process and manage sales transactions for retail customers and employees of Morning Dew Landscaping.
• Provide product support and assistance to Morning Dew Landscaping field staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store and nursery environment.
• Coordinate restocking of irrigation parts and nursery materials as needed.
• Operate forklift (willing to train).
• Help load plants, soil, rocks and landscaping materials onto company vehicles.
• Communicate with vendors, drivers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving history is required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors while caring for nursery plants.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and sales.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of irrigation systems and parts is not required. Morning Dew Landscaping is willing to train the right candidate.
• Basic knowledge of plants, gardening or landscaping (preferred but not required).
• Experience in landscaping, retail, or nursery operations is helpful but not required.
• This role includes both indoor retail responsibilities and outdoor nursery work.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.

· Follow safety procedures when lifting heavy materials or operating equipment.

· Standing, bending, walking and lifting for extended periods of time.

· Ability to work in warehouse environments that may include varying temperatures

Compensation:
This position is paid hourly starting at$25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.
