Material Handler Riverside

Morgan Steel, LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Processor / Material Handler to join our steel manufacturing warehouse in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, processing, and moving steel materials efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Load finished steel materials onto Morgan Steel delivery trucks

• Verify pick tickets, load sheets, and quantities prior to loading

• Ensure correct material type, size, thickness, and quantity

• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes

• Properly distribute weight and balance loads on flatbeds and trailers

• Secure loads using chains, straps, and dunnage as required

• Perform visual inspection of materials before release

• Conduct daily forklift and crane equipment checks

• Communicate with drivers to confirm load accuracy before dispatch

• Maintain a clean and organized loading area

• Follow all OSHA and Morgan Steel safety policie

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience required (certification preferred)

• Overhead crane experience preferred

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure

• Experience loading flatbeds and trailers preferred

• Knowledge of proper load securement practices

• Strong attention to detail and load accuracy

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly

• Dependable attendance and strong safety mindset

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods

• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing on/off trailers

• Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse yard environment

• Working around heavy materials and moving equipment
