What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Closing Operations Analyst position at Morgan Stanley?
We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Loan Closer in Global Loan Services to manage a portfolio of syndicated loan trades coordinating with external Counterparties, Agents and front office contacts to manage the closing process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of trades and relevant trade documentation in line with LSTA standards.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Analyst level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

Salary range for the position: $58,000 - $62,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. What You’ll Do In The Role
- Process transactions/tasks within coverage area
- Respond to client requests with accuracy and speed, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
- Follow escalation framework, taking responsibility for identifying, escalating and preventing issues
- Raise issues, question others and offer solutions/ideas
- Review and process trade documentation to ensure compliant with LSTA standards
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to facilitate timely and accurate loan settlement .
- Ability to build trust and find innovative ways to improve teamwork, functions/processes and create a positive work environment
- Understanding of business area supported, client requirements, and importance of not compromising control to comply with client requests
- Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage loan transactions and documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with internal and external clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- At least 0-2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
