Line Cook Position - Starting at $17/hour
Morgan River Grill is excited to welcome an experienced line cook to our TEAM
Pay will be based on your experience, so be sure to highlight your relevant skills and background on your resume.
Hours: Monday-Saturday 3pm-close.
As a line cook, you will prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and set up stations for the menu. You will assist the executive and sous chef with daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities (Additional tasks may be assigned as needed):
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
- Follow instructions from the executive or sous chef
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure food is prepared simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely manner
- Comply with safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
- Keep our kitchen sparkling clean by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and work areas
- Help maintain an organized, sanitary, and efficient kitchen environment
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven cooking experience, including as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
