What You Will Be Doing
- Repair and/or prepare all wall and trim surfaces to include filing nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler.
- Hang drywall, tape, and sand.
- Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.
- Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces such as baseboards, door-frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
- Paint surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers.
- Apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects.
- Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
- Wash surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover where needed
- Assist in maintaining maintenance materials and supplies
- Responsible for daily clean-up of Maintenance Shop
- Valid drivers’ license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Be able to work as a team and independently
- Help others both at the site and other sites
- Be flexible in transferring to other local regional sites if required.
- Pay Range: $19-$22/Hr.
