Job Summary
Performs a variety of technical skilled activities in the maintenance, repair, installation and construction of District buildings, facilities and equipment in various maintenance trades such as electrical work, plumbing, locksmith, HVAC, carpentry, painting and maintain facilities in safe and proper operational condition. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This position performs technical skilled tasks at a journeyman level involving the most complex maintenance and repair functions and including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and related building plans.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or equivalent is required • Three (3) years of experience as a journeyman or highly skilled maintenance technician level or equivalent. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Requires a valid California driver’s license • May require a Certified Pool Operator Certificate and/or EPA Universal Certificate • May require pre-employment physical examination *** Testing for this position is tentatively scheduled for 5/1/2026***
