Overview
E-Commerce Inventory & Fulfillment Specialist
Company: AFM Global Trading LLC
Location: Columbia, Tennessee
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-time, on-site
Introductory Period: 90 days
Help Us Rebuild and Launch Our Warehouse Operation
AFM Global Trading LLC is reopening and rebuilding a warehouse that has been inactive for a period of time. Our immediate mission is to clean and organize the facility, process the existing products, enter everything into our inventory system, create accurate online listings, and begin fulfilling customer orders.
We are looking for dependable, hands-on people who want to help turn a dormant warehouse into a clean, bright, organized, and active e-commerce operation.
This is not a desk-only position or a narrowly defined warehouse job. You will participate in the complete product process—from cleaning and identification through online listing, inventory, customer service, and fulfillment.
Position Summary
As an E-Commerce Inventory & Fulfillment Specialist, you will initially be assigned a product area or group of inventory to organize and process. However, you are not being hired for only one product category. All team members will be cross-trained in the company’s receiving, processing, inventory, online listing, customer service, picking, packing, shipping, and returns procedures.
During the warehouse reopening phase, the work will include more cleaning, sorting, organizing, and setup than would be expected in a fully established operation. As the warehouse becomes organized and the products are entered into inventory, the role will transition toward a more centralized and standardized e-commerce operation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clean products, packaging, shelves, displays, and assigned work areas.
- Sort, identify, and organize products that have been stored in the warehouse.
- Inspect products and packaging for damage, wear, missing pieces, or other condition issues.
- Perform basic product testing when trained and when testing can be completed safely.
- Scan and record UPCs, model numbers, serial numbers, SKUs, and other identifying information.
- Measure and weigh products when required.
- Take clear and accurate photographs of products, packaging, labels, and condition issues.
- Research basic product information using approved company tools.
- Create accurate product records and online listing drafts in the company system.
- Write clear product titles and descriptions without hiding defects or making unsupported claims.
- Print and apply inventory labels.
- Assign products to the correct warehouse storage location.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and product-location records.
- Prepare completed work for management review and approval.
- Pick, pack, label, and ship customer orders accurately.
- Process returns according to company procedures.
- Respond professionally to routine product and order questions using company guidelines.
- Escalate disputes, refund requests, policy exceptions, compliance concerns, and difficult customer situations to management.
- Keep assigned areas clean, safe, organized, and ready for continued processing.
- Provide regular reports on completed work, inventory status, problems, and priorities.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and video calls.
- Recommend practical improvements that could make processing, listing, inventory, or fulfillment faster and more accurate.
- Cross-train in other areas and assist the team wherever business needs require.
What We Are Looking For
The right candidate is someone who:
- Reports to work consistently and on time.
- Is willing to work in an active warehouse environment.
- Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Can recognize what needs attention and take appropriate action.
- Is comfortable cleaning, organizing, and working with products in different conditions.
- Can follow a defined process without skipping required steps.
- Pays close attention to product details, quantities, labels, and locations.
- Is honest when a product cannot be identified, tested, or accurately described.
- Can use a computer, tablet, smartphone, camera, scanner, and other business tools.
- Communicates clearly and professionally in writing and conversation.
- Is comfortable providing updates during meetings or video calls.
- Can work independently while remaining accountable to the team.
- Accepts coaching and adapts as procedures and technology improve.
- Is willing to learn about unfamiliar products.
- Understands that accuracy, customer satisfaction, and safe work are more important than simply moving quickly.
- Is interested in growing with a developing e-commerce and warehouse operation.
Physical and Workplace Requirements
This is an on-site, hands-on position. Depending on the assignment, employees may be required to:
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, kneel, and move around warehouse work areas.

- Clean products and workspaces using approved supplies and procedures.
- Move products within their safe individual ability.
- Use carts, equipment, team lifting, or request assistance for heavier items.
- Follow all safety, handling, and protective-equipment requirements.
Employees should never perform unsafe lifting or test products in a way that creates a safety risk.
Customer Service Responsibilities
Employees will handle routine customer questions related to product information, order status, and basic fulfillment matters. Training, templates, and company procedures will be provided.
Employees are not expected to resolve serious disputes or make unauthorized decisions. Difficult complaints, refunds, policy exceptions, legal concerns, compliance concerns, and other sensitive matters must be escalated to management.
Training and Cross-Training
Training will be provided on the company’s systems and operating procedures, including:

90-Day Introductory Period
The first 90 days are an introductory period during which attendance, reliability, safety, accuracy, productivity, communication, teamwork, and ability to learn the company’s processes will be evaluated.

- Quality of photographs and listing drafts
- Organization of assigned products and work areas
- Productivity after appropriate training
