Moravian Manor Communities, located in the beautiful town of Lititz, PA, is a premier not-for-profit senior living community that has been serving older adults for 50 years. What will I do in the role of an Activities Assistant?
- Plans and monitors unit activities, content of programs, and independent activities.
- Implements individual and group activities; supervise residents’ use of all equipment and materials and takes the necessary precautions in implementing the program.
- Oversee documentation of resident participation assessment, MDS, care plan, and progress on the appropriate forms.
- Works with activities staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies and volunteer groups.
What do I need in the role of an Activities Assistant?
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in a retirement home setting or rec center preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- MDS experience preferred
- Dementia experience preferred
- Certified Dementia Practitioner a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, every other weekend and holidays.
