What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Family Law Attorney position at Morales Padia Law, PLLC?
Build a Career Helping Families Navigate Life’s Hardest Transitions
Morales Padia Law is seeking an experienced family law litigation attorney who wants to do meaningful work while developing strong courtroom and case strategy skills.
Our firm focuses on guiding clients through complex family transitions with clarity, education, and thoughtful advocacy. We handle divorce, custody disputes, modifications, enforcement actions, and related matters with a strong emphasis on strategic representation and client communication.
This role is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of family law experience who is comfortable in the courtroom, enjoys litigation strategy, and wants to take ownership of their cases while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
You will manage a family law docket while working closely with experienced paralegals, administrative staff, and leadership to ensure cases move efficiently and clients feel supported throughout the process.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a family law caseload including divorce, SAPCRs, custody disputes, modifications, and enforcement actions
- Appear regularly in court for hearings, status conferences, mediations, and trials
- Develop thoughtful case strategies aligned with client goals and long-term outcomes
- Draft and argue motions, discovery, and final orders
- Conduct negotiations and participate in mediations to resolve disputes when appropriate
- Communicate regularly with clients to guide them through complex legal and emotional situations
- Collaborate with paralegals and staff to maintain organized and efficient case progression
- Opportunity to assist with probate and estate-related matters as part of our “lawyer for life” client service model
Support & Systems
Our attorneys are supported by experienced family law paralegals and established case management systems, allowing you to focus on legal strategy, advocacy, and client outcomes rather than administrative work.
We believe attorneys do their best work when they have the right systems and support structure in place.
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Texas attorney in good standing
- 3–5 years of family law litigation experience
- Comfortable appearing in court and managing hearings independently
- Strong writing, organization, and case management skills
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Emotionally intelligent and professional when handling sensitive family matters
- Interest in expanding legal knowledge into probate or related areas is a plus
Attorneys with trial experience or a strong interest in litigation are especially encouraged to apply.
