Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Times Needed
Flexible hours ranging from 8:30am – 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays; 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Occasionally until 7:30pm. Must work one Saturday a year, typically in mid August.

If you’re looking for an excellent paid student leadership opportunity, consider applying to work for the Advising Office as a Student Employee/Orientation Leader! This is a seasonal position with the potential for extension, depending on funding.
As a Student Employee/Orientation Leader, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our students and their families. This combined position offers experience in customer service, office operations, and student engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting students, parents, and guests in person and over the phone
- Providing accurate information and excellent customer service to all visitors
- Answering basic questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of orientation activities and materials
- Helping new students navigate tools such as Student Planner
- Performing general clerical and front desk duties to support Advising staff
- Assisting with events as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort speaking with students, parents, and staff both in person and over the phone
- Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a busy office environment
- Dependable, professional, and eager to learn

During the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours. Student employees must always maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. *This position may require a background check. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
