Brief Description
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector will ensure products are produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements to ensure accurate job fulfillment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Inspect job at initial start-up to verify correct procedures/components are utilized.
- Use and complete QC forms to aid in hourly QC inspections.
- Review and inspect work in progress on an hourly basis.
- Take physical samples as directed by work ticket.
- Maintain quality and quantity production standards.
- Notify machine adjuster when issues are identified.
- Bring any issues to the attention of management.
- Minimize waste by ensuring waste is segregated properly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
- One year of quality control experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to read and process work orders.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
ARE YOU A MATCH?
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma a plus
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments a plus
- One to two years' quality inspector experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy is an essential function of this position
- Exceptional attention to detail skills
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Analytic skills
- Documentation skills
- Hand/eye coordination
- Must be detail oriented
- Create a motivating work environment by working as a team and or completing tasks as an individual
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to consistently lift 50lbs
- Required to stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend at waist, and move about the facility
- Required to grip, twist, and turn with both hands for long periods of time
