Early Prevention Intervention Coordinator
Job Description: The position, Early Prevention Intervention Coordinator works with Moore Youth and Family Services to provide support to clients in the K-12 system through on-site services that support clients who would benefit from rehabilitative services, case management, or light intervention needs. This role supervises a team to reach clients who need services at schools and through supports the camp programs alongside the Early Prevention Education team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the team of Early Prevention Interventionalists to meet agency and public-school objectives that support the BTSS model of behavior intervention.
- Directing comprehensive intervention programs and coordinating the relationship with the public-school administrative personnel.
- Direct training and staff development of program staff.
- Working alongside public school administrators to create key functions and activities where Moore Youth & Family Services can provide support functions to existing Mental Health Professionals.
- Schedule EPI’s at schools on a rotational basis using data to determine highest level of need from elementary through high schools.
- Hold regular staff meetings to discuss themes, intervention strategies, and coordination of services.
- Create and disseminate collateral on behalf of the program.
- Manage a programmatic budget.
- Maintain an efficient system that provides for effective crisis intervention, assessment, intake, and referral services.
- Facilitate groups and workshops for schools that are aligned with psycho-social learning and rehabilitative intervention strategies.
- Coordinate case management and case staffing for MPS counselors and groups.
- Track new and returning clients through the screening and assessment process.
- Assess client needs and provide positive intervention by providing information, rehab, and/or referrals.
- Coordinating program with community resources and maintaining a cooperative agency relationship with public sectors.
- Participate and engage in agency camps.
- Interact with other agencies and public for disseminating agency goals and objectives and providing a positive image.
- Maintain proper documentation in case records.
- Use of crisis intervention techniques.
- Responsible for the recruitment, training and evaluation of program staff.
- Providing supervision and ongoing consultation of program staff.
- Planning program development and making recommendations for the implementation of programs with direction from the Clinical Director and Executive Director.
- Preparing programmatic data, records and management information for agency leadership team and funding sources.
- Support other agency programs.
- Other duties as assigned by the agency.
Required Education and Experience:
- A Mental Health Professional licensed as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, professional counselor, or behavioral practitioner or a licensed alcohol and drug counselor preferred. A masters degree in Psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, or similar discipline is required with at least 5 years in behavioral health is required in lieu of license.
- Five years of experience in the profession including two years of supervisory, administrative, and consultative capacity.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to assess individual and family problems
- Working knowledge of principles of mental health and substance use disorders including early intervention, prevention, diagnosis, clinical application and treatment.
- Well-developed and practiced inter-relationship skills.

- Ability to manage time and perform responsibilities with limited supervision.
- Ability for positive role taking and role modeling processes; mature judgment.
- Ability to facilitate problem solving methods with individuals, groups and families, as well as the larger community systems
- Knowledge of program management techniques emphasizing the recruiting of quality staff and the ability to motivate staff to their performance potential and the program needs.
- Skill in working with people in planning and organizing efficient and effective service delivery.

Work Environment:
The work environment is a temperature-controlled school environment most times. All staff are required to attend meetings, serve on committees on behalf of the agency, and may need to travel up to 80% of their work schedule to accommodate the needs of the agency. Minimal lifting, bending, and dexterity of movement is required for this position. The designated schedule for this position is determined upon hire with the Clinical Director.
Salary:
Moore Youth and Family Services provides a salary of $55,000 annually for this position. Full-time employees are eligible for paid leave, health insurance, and the agency observes 11 state holidays.
