Duties
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences, providing expert advice and tailored solutions
- Present detailed proposals, including design ideas, product options, and project timelines to secure sales commitments
- Build strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle
- Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for future projects or referrals
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of landscaping products, materials, and current industry trends to confidently educate customers
- Manage sales documentation, including quotes, contracts, and project records efficiently and accurately
Experience
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the landscaping, gardening, or outdoor design industry
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping clients achieve their outdoor vision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with diverse customers
- Ability to understand technical details related to landscaping materials and design concepts
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to reaching sales targets and expanding client base
- Familiarity with basic computer software for creating proposals and managing client information is a plus
