Job Summary
This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for managing key Engineering and Operations projects, including coordinating, and completing projects on time and within scope and budget. In addition, this position oversees all aspects of projects; setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, holding team members accountable, motivating the team, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinates internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensures that all projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
- Assists in defining projects scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensures resource allocation and availability.
- Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Reports and escalates to management as necessary.
- Measures project performance using tools and applicable methods.
- Manages relationships with all stakeholders.
- Performs risk management analysis to minimize projects risks.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
- Meets with stakeholders to clarify specific requirements for each project.
- Delegates project tasks based on strengths, skill set and experience levels.
- Tracks performance progress; analyze short/long term project goals.
- Meets budgetary objectives and make necessary adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Continually develop leaderships skills.
- Ensures safe work practices are followed.
- Complies with safety regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Proven work experience in project management – 5 to 8 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other applicable technical field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience seeing projects through full life cycle.
- Proven ability to complete projects as outlined in the scope and within the timeline and budget.
