Description:M-F 8:00-3:30 37.5 hours/week.Pay: $22/hr. plus up 250 miles a week reimbursement.Matthew is an engaging, energetic 33 year old male seeking support in his daily routine out in the community. This would require picking Matthew up at this home in the morning and transporting him to a variety of locations and scheduled activities throughout the day, returning home in the afternoon. Matthew enjoys activities such as walking on local trails, horseback riding, swimming and exercising at the YMCA, visiting animal farms, visiting local libraries, and making small purchases in the community. client is able to walk, feed himself, and use the bathroom with minimal assistance.Client is unable to follow safety rules, prepare food, hygiene care, read/write.Mostly happy and loving but can be impulsive or angry when tired, hungry, or over stimulated.Requirements:Kind, Firm but soft spoken, DSP experience preferred, Energetic, Sense of humor, Loving Disposition, Experience with challenging behaviors, Patient, Ability to engage in client's preferred physical activities, able to diffuse mild physical aggression. Access to reliable transportation and adequate auto insurancePrior experience working for individuals with developmental disabilities (Preferred)Ability to work together with client to complete organizational tasksAbility to carry out individual service goals and communication goalsAssistance with transportation if needed to Dr. appointments and errandsDocumentation of servicesConsistent contact with Case Manager in re: to program activities Demonstrate a commitment to the Moore Center’s values Comply with all state, agency and department policies and procedures Assist individuals in community, vocational, and residential settings Provide personal care and behavioral support, including but not limited to physical assistance Maintain professional demeanor in emotionally charged situations Demonstrate flexibility with changes in job, schedule and duties All staff must adhere to the NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Additionally, staff are required to maintain criminal, motor vehicle and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services record checks that meet agency standards. Staff are also required to travel and transport clients when applicable. This includes having access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and maintaining personal auto insurance of $100,000/300,000.
