Moore & Giles - a luxury leather company, based in Lynchburg, Virginia since 1933 - is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse team. This full-time position is for the operation of a gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial stand up and sitting truck equipment with lifting devices such as forklift or elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. We are looking for a teammate with a positive attitude, stable work history and good work ethic. Stand-Up Crown Forklift experience a must.
Qualification:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Duties include:
Unloading and loading shipments of inventory onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
Responsible for accuracy and appearance of inventory
Suppling workers with inventory and materials as needed
Verifying inventory items with invoice and packaging information
Putting leather goods in bin locations as determined
Communicating any discrepancies for adjustments to Inventory Specialist
Identifying and reporting any quality issues with inventory
Lubricates trucks, recharges batteries, fills fuel tanks, and replaces liquefied gas tanks
Supporting inventory and packing team
Skills required:
Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs
Attention to detail
Basic math
Operating a stand up Crown fork lift
Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills
Requires minimal supervision
