Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Marine Technician and Yard Hand, where you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and preparing marine vessels and equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with boats, engines, and various mechanical systems. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on marine engine
- Perform de-winterization process of vessels for spring launch season.
- Disconnect, clean, test, and prepare batteries for spring launch/winter storage
- Perform full service oil and filter changes on gasoline and diesel, inboard and outboard engines.
- Execute comprehensive winterization under direct supervision of the Service Manager, including running antifreeze through engine cooling systems , heat exchangers, and water pumps to prevent freezing and cracking.
- Drain and refill outboard lower units or stern drive gear cases with fresh gear lube, checking for water intrusion or metal shavings
