Job Summary                                                                                                                                                                                          

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking a Bilingual Safety Coordinator to cover the Southeast region including Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. This person will present, document, and maintain all safety standards, processes and incidents for their respective area. They will also coordinate safety training, distribute monthly safety topics, and  conduct field or store training with staff. 

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                          

• Understand regulatory compliance experience such as OSHA, DOT, EPA, and the Department\ of Agriculture
• Assist in incident investigations.
• Conduct site inspections and field audits.
• Provide safety training including but not limited to: tools and equipment, tractor and trucks, safe lifting, and other topics as assigned.
• Travel to multiple states frequently.
• Implement and provide ongoing support for safety training.
• Manage and  enforce safety standards by developing a solid succession plan.
• Implement & audit new policies and procedures.

Education                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Four-year degree or related field (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)

 Physical requirements/Working Conditions                                                                                                                                   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
