What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Marketing Manager position at Moodys Northwest Consulting?
Position: Product Marketing Manager - In-App Messaging Compliance
Location: Seattle, WA - Onsite 5 days per week
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own and optimize our in-app messaging experience. You’ll sit at the intersection of marketing, tech and compliance — driving measurable impact through rapid experimentation and a relentless focus on delivering results. This is a hands-on role. You won’t just — you’ll roll up your sleeves, set up campaigns, analyze results, and iterate quickly. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and get energized by testing, learning, and optimizing, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Increase experiment velocity — design and run A/B and multivariate tests at pace, building a culture of rapid test-and-learn iteration
- Generate strong hypotheses — leverage customer insights, behavioral data, and market trends to develop informed, creative hypotheses that drive meaningful experimentation
- Hands-on campaign execution — configure, launch, and manage in-app messaging campaigns directly within our marketing and messaging platforms
- Optimize the customer experience — ensure every message is timely, relevant, and adds value to the customer journey
- Ensure compliance — stay current on regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., privacy, consent, industry-specific regulations) and ensure all messaging adheres to established guidelines
- Analyze and report — measure campaign performance, synthesize learnings, and communicate results and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally — partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Legal, and Analytics teams to align messaging strategy with broader business goals
What You’ll Bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in product marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM, or a related field
- Marketing knowledge & strategic thinking — strong foundation in marketing principles with the ability to connect tactics to broader business strategy
- Experimentation mindset — proven track record of designing experiments, generating hypotheses, and using data to inform decisions
- Bias for action — you move fast, deliver results, and don’t wait for perfect conditions to get started
- Willingness to learn & be hands-on — comfortable getting into the tools, learning new platforms, and personally executing campaigns
- Excellent communication skills — outstanding written and verbal communication; you can craft compelling messaging and clearly present strategies and results to stakeholders
- Compliance awareness — experience working within regulated environments or a strong understanding of compliance considerations in customer communications
- Analytical chops — comfortable working with data to measure impact, identify trends, and inform next steps
Nice to Have
- Experience with in-app messaging or mobile engagement platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Leanplum, Airship)
- Familiarity with experimentation/testing frameworks and statistical significance
