Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Manager at Monticello Homes in San Antonio, TX. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for daily purchasing operations, including sourcing and procuring materials, negotiating with vendors, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires close collaboration with the construction, sales, and design teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Hires and manages the Purchasing Supervisors, and other staff as needed.
· Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience in the homebuilding or construction industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
