What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Athletic Director position at MONTGOMERY COUNTY SCHOOLS?
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Kentucky Certificate with proper endorsements.

REPORTS: Athletic Director/Principal and Superintendent/Designee
SUPERVISES: Personnel as assigned
JOB GOAL : Works with the athletic director to help oversee and coordinate the schools’ interscholastic athletic and intramural programs
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizes and administers with the Athletics Director and/or Principal, plans for the overall program of extra curricular athletics men’s and women’s, which includes transportation, fund raising, ticket sales, practices and schedules.
- Provides supervision and management of games and events as assigned.
- Fosters good school/community relations by seeking support for programs, publicizing events, activities and meeting with school and community organizations.
- Maintains and prepares reports, reports, records, documents, budgets and other paperwork as required by the Athletics Director, Principal or Superintendent.
- Assists in monitoring the eligibility criteria of school, district, conference, KHSAA and other member organizations.
- Strictly adheres to all laws, policies and procedures for revenue and expenses for School Activity Accounts and other money.
- Assists in administering the insurance program for school athletics, and ensures processing of claims.
- Provides leadership for booster and support organizations, and keeps school administration abreast of organizations activities.
- Assumes general responsibility for the supervision of participants immediately before, during and after practices and competitions and/or games as well as during travel to and from events.
- Assists in monitoring the athletic program for compliance with Title IX regulations, conference and district policies, KHSAA regulations and law.
- Maintains professional conduct and serves as role model when representing the district during school functions and activities.
- Assists in obtaining, reviewing and preserving as district record, written certificates of physical examination for each student seeking to participate in the school’s athletic program.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent.
