Position Summary:
Support the School Director by managing day-to-day school operations, ensuring smooth communication with students, parents, staff, and the school board. Maintain a positive, confidential, and nurturing school environment. Requires flexibility, adaptability, and physical activity inside and outside classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain licensing, regulatory compliance, and student/faculty records
- Manage school communications: phone, visitors, mail, social media
- Oversee inventory and order supplies
- Assist with admissions, new employee orientation, and substitute scheduling
- Support classroom activities and school events
- Open and close school daily; run errands as needed
- Manage school operations in Director’s absence
- Attend meetings, training, and assist with end-of-day duties
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree minimum; Bachelor’s preferred
- 2 years office administration experience, preferably in education
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and tech skills (Microsoft, Gmail, QuickBooks)
- Knowledge/interest in Montessori education a plus
- Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification required
- Ability to perform light physical tasks and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Pass background and health requirements
