What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Classroom Assistant position at Montessori School of Casper?
Montessori School of Casper is seeking a classroom assistant. This position involves the care and supervision of children from 3 to 6 years old; however one of the the additional roles for this position will be maintaining, repairing, creating, and developing materials used in our classroom, so experience using different art or craft supplies as well as great attention to detail and exactness are preferred. We are searching for individuals with a willingness to learn and implement Montessori philosophy while working with children, as well as someone who can maintain a calm, warm demeanor with young children. The school follows the Natrona County School District calendar fairly closely for holidays and closures- we are closed over the summer months. No previous experience in a childcare setting is needed, as we will provide both on-the-job and formal training.
The assistant will work under a lead teacher in the classroom from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm during the school year.
