Duties

- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management strategies to ensure an organized learning space.
- Foster strong communication with children to support their emotional welfare and promote positive behavior through effective behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs.
- Incorporate standardized testing and assessment tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Support children's physical development through teaching physical education activities and promoting healthy habits.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in compliance with childcare regulations.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education by engaging in ongoing professional development related to toddler care, literacy education, and childhood development.
Experience
- Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting or daycare environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for early learners, including literacy and math instruction.
- Experience managing classrooms with diverse needs, including special education or early intervention programs.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Prior experience with standardized testing procedures and child welfare practices is advantageous.
