What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Staff position at Montessori Outlet, Inc.?
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse activities including order picking, inventory control, and operating equipment such as forklifts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage warehouse team members to ensure smooth daily operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring timely processing of orders and shipments in accordance with company standards.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety across all
warehouse functions.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and control procedures to prevent discrepancies and optimize stock accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations by enforcing safety protocols during heavy lifting, mechanical operations, and materials handling.
- Coordinate forklift operations with certified operators to facilitate heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with logistics partners, including third-party logistics providers (3PL), to
streamline shipping & receiving processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, and willingness to learn new systems
- Experience with order picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Familiarity with forklift operation and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and responsible
- 3PL warehouse operation experience is a plus
- Experiences on small team management is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
