Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role based in Alpharetta, GA. The technician will install, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, and ductwork. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, verifying load calculations and system performance, and ensuring indoor air quality solutions such as filtration, purification, and UV light systems operate correctly. The technician will respond to service calls, complete accurate work orders and documentation, follow safety and regulatory requirements, and communicate clearly with clients about findings, options, and recommended solutions. Collaboration with team members and occasional support on new construction HVAC design and installation projects may also be required.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical and performance issues.
- Candidates should possess basic plumbing skills relevant to HVAC systems, such as condensate drainage and related piping work.
- Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills, including routine inspections, cleaning, filter changes, and system tune-ups.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of EPA regulations and hold appropriate EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
- Candidates should possess solid electricity skills, including safe work with electrical circuits, controls, and system wiring.
- Relevant HVAC certifications or technical training from an accredited program are preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC plans, manuals, and load calculations, with attention to detail and safety.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
