Neurologist Full Time - Highland Medical / Montefiore Nyack Hospital, Rockland County
Starting Salary $300K, negotiable commensurate with experience
 

We have a full-time opportunity for a Neurologist to join our Neurology team at Rockland Neurological Associates, a growing practice located in (Rockland County NY), which is affiliated with the Montefiore Healthcare system.  This is a general Neurology practice but sub specialization is welcome and Neurophysiology expertise is particularly desirable.  The position offers a Monday - Friday schedule to see patients as outpatient, with an on call inpatient rotation at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.  The current schedule for on call is 1:6.  We have an excellent competitive compensation package along with benefits.

Qualifications:

Education:  Physician, licensed to practice in NY.
Experience:  Board-certified or eligible.  A candidate finishing their residency is welcome to apply.
Licensure: Licensed and currently registered physician in the State of New York.
Other: Qualified for membership on the Medical Staff. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Work effectively as a member of a culturally competent multidisciplinary team, have a thorough understanding of member rights, and knowledge of basic medical practice.

The FJ Borelli Family Emergency Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital offers safe, high-quality emergency care. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, it has proven its ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients. The Center offers a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Unit, an Express Care area for non-life-threatening emergency cases and X-ray rooms outfitted with a CT scanner to expedite patient care. 

The hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab is led by a team of cardiovascular experts who diagnose and treat heart conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and congestive heart failure, using minimally invasive procedures. Available treatments include pacemaker implantation, stent insertion, removal of blood clots in the lungs and the treatment of heart blockages. This program, a partnership with the Montefiore Health System and Montefiore Einstein, enables us to deliver academic medicine—and the very best care—right here in our community.  

The Joint Replacement Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a unique and highly specialized facility dedicated to the surgical replacement and repair of hip and knee joints, as well as postsurgical rehabilitation. The Center has received the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for its hip and knee joint replacement programs. It was the first to achieve this distinction in the lower Hudson Valley.
