Overview
Montefiore School of Nursing is recruiting for nursing faculty to teach Maternal Child and Mental Health Nursing in the third semester of the nursing program. As a member of the Faculty Organization, responsibilities of this position include teaching, advising, and evaluation of students in the didactic, clinical, and/or laboratory setting, development and implementation of the Montefiore School of Nursing curriculum, scholarly activity and service to the organization and community to achieve program outcomes.Responsibilities
- Develops and implements SON mission, philosophy, conceptual framework, program, and curricular objectives.
- Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum design in alignment with program registration and accreditation standards.
- Engages in service to the SON, Montefiore Health System, and the community.
- Engages in scholarly activity.
- Fosters a climate conducive to learning.
- Prepares, implements, and evaluates student learning experiences in accordance with course objectives and program outcomes in alignment with program registration and accreditation standards.
- Guides students in the delivery of nursing care.
- Participates in the development and implementation of the Systematic Program Evaluation plan.
- Submits reports as requested.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience in the area of responsibility required.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN License.
- Current BLS-C.
- MSN - Master's of Science in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in the college setting preferred.
- PhD, DNP, or EdD.
- Certification in specialty area.
