Montefiore is seeking a Labor Counsel to represent Montefiore and assist with the administration of collective bargaining agreements.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in labor relations including extensive experience in handling arbitrations and responding to labor charges. The candidate will be well versed in local, state and federal employment and labor laws.
Must have the ability to work independently establish, maintain working relationships, interpret complex rules, contracts, arbitration awards and other official mandates.

Responsibilities
- Providing advice regarding administration of collective bargaining agreements.
- Negotiating and/or providing legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreements.
- Handling labor arbitrations (including arbitration preparation and hearing).
- Responding to charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board.
- Investigating and researching labor related matters, grievances and related issues.
- Interpreting providing advice regarding administration of collective bargaining agreements, rules and policies.
- Drafting and conducting trainings.
- Handling unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”).
- Representing management in NLRB elections.
- JD Required.
- 4-6 years Preferred.
- Law degree.
Salary : $168,000 - $210,000
